Get started on your creative journey

High school juniors and seniors like you can flex your creative muscles and explore what it feels like to be challenged to go even further, work harder, and take the first step to doing what you love, for life.

Each course mirrors a credit-bearing course open only to registered degree-seeking students taught by credentialed faculty.**

College Bound gets you in the door so that you can learn and develop critical design, media, and culinary skills.

Your College Bound portfolio can be evaluated for proficiency credits applicable toward your future enrollment with any Art Institutes. This can save you time and money.

Earn Proficiency Credit

Proficiency credit is one way for students to potentially reduce college expenses and the time to complete a degree program at any Art Institutes location. Credit is awarded based on successful demonstration of college level learning outcomes through a proficiency assessment for the identified course. Demonstration of learning is often through an in-person assessment, the presentation of a portfolio, or other means based on course learning outcomes. Upon successful completion of a College Bound non-credit course, students will have completed a portfolio that may be submitted for proficiency evaluation to The Art Institutes school of their choice upon acceptance into the school. No more than 25 percent (30 percent at Virginia schools) of a program’s required credits will be considered for any type of proficiency credit.

Proficiency credits awarded toward your program will likely decrease the overall length and cost of education.
